You know that blue dot on the mobile map that tells you, "You are here"? The one you rely on to move only when you move, and remain in one place as you zoom in and out? Well the blue dot remains stagnant on the screen while you scroll and zoom so that the moment you start moving the map, the blue dot is nowhere near where you are. This defeats the purpose if youre trying to, say, see where you are relative to your destination. I realize this is meant to be a bare bones app but the critical features should work. Location sometimes takes a while to update compared to similar apps (sometimes closing and reopening the app helps). To be fair, it eventually gets your location right and so long as you memorize where the blue dot was you can get an idea of where you need to go. Dropping a pin and labeling a location is very easy and convenient; you can even choose an icon. The map is accurate and sufficiently detailed. You can find restaurants/bars close to your current location, although there is no additional information about them (no ratings, hours, cuisine type, etc.). All in all, this would be a helpful app if the glitch with the location indicator got fixed.
